This is the Eastwood aesthetic: professionals doing their jobs without fuss or debate. They don’t have much dimension—Sully is the only fully-developed character on screen—but the actors, like the figures they play, get the job done.

Kevin P A decently solid biopic about the 2009 plane crash over the Hudson River and the admirable flying skills that saved all 155 passengers. Tom Hanks gives a good performance as always and the film feels fairly grounded and wrapped up in the whole procedure. That being said, the movie can feel a bit sluggish at times trying artificially stretch out the relatively smaller-scale conflicts of the aftermath that can feel a bit low-stakes and impersonal at times. But I'd still say it's worth a watch if you're interested in the topic and want to see a good recreation of the incident and its courtroom aftermath.
